The rooftop was a beautiful place to sit in the day or night, so many stars! It was set back a little from town, but still a short walk. The family prepared a nice breakfast each morning.

Carlos and his mother were so hospitable. Carlos loved sharing his knowledge about the town and the history of Peru, and his mom always had a smile on her face and made nice breakfasts. When I had altitude sickness they brought me tea, and helped me arrange for a taxi to take us around the valley. The views from our room and the roof terrace were to die for, and we loved eating breakfast on the terrace, surrounded by mountains. We also liked that it was just a bit out of the center of town, which made it peaceful and quiet. Honestly, if you’re looking for an authentic Peruvian experience, this place is for you.

A really friendly family run hostel. Its a ten minute, downhill walk to the town plaza. You can get tuk-tuk style motorcycle taxis (those with a cabin on the back) back up the hill for a Sol or two if you like. Not a party place but we have had a lovely stay here with our young family. Carlos and his Mother really do their best to look after you.
